Source: UCLA transfer Josh Smith headed to Georgetown

By Jeff Goodman | College Basketball Insider

Josh Smith is headed to Georgetown.

According to a source close to the situation, the 6-foot-10, 300-plus pound UCLA transfer has decided to go across the country to play for the Hoyas.

Smith chose Georgetown over Kansas.

Weight has been the biggest issue for Smith, who saw his production and playing time decrease in each of his three seasons under Ben Howland. Smith averaged 10.9 points and 6.3 rebounds as a freshman and was averaging just 5.2 points and 4.2 boards in 13 1/2 minutes this season before deciding to go elsewhere.
