Monday bracket: Louisville no longer tops in polls or No. 1 seed

Thanks to its win over then-No. 1 Louisville, Syracuse is a top seed -- for now. (AP)

Louisville, the No. 1 team in the country last week and a No. 1 seed in Friday's bracket, is neither of those things any more after Syracuse went to the KFC Yum Center and beat the Cards on Saturday.

The battle for the top line of the bracket is open warfare, and will be all season. The Orange have taken a spot there for now after the win. Duke is still the overall No. 1 seed, followed by Kansas and Arizona. There is a case to be made for Michigan on the top line as well.

Separating the teams behind that group is difficult also. Butler, Indiana, Louisville, Gonzaga and Florida are all at least 2-seed level teams, but there is only so much room.
