Sources: UMKC expected to fire Matt Brown

By Jeff Goodman | College Basketball Insider

UMKC is expected to part ways with head coach Matt Brown by the end of the week.

According to sources, the move could be made as early as Tuesday. The Kangaroos finished 8-24 this season and 5-11 in Summit League play.

Brown, a former John Beilein assistant at both Richmond and West Virginia, has endured four 20-loss campaigns in his six seasons at the helm.

Louisville assistant Kareem Richardson is the frontrunner to replace Brown, sources told CBSSports.
