Fields set for CBI, CollegeInsider.com tournament

The fields for the two postseason college basketball tournaments not named the NCAA or NIT have been announced.

The College Basketball Invitational (CBI) and CollegeInsder.com Postseason Tournament (CIT) will both tip off Tuesday.

First, there's the CBI, which was won last year by Pittsburgh:

George Mason (18-14) at College of Charleston (24-10), 3/19

Vermont (21-11) at Santa Clara (21-11), 3/19

Lehigh (21-10) at Wyoming (19-13), 3/19

Texas (16-17) at Houston (19-12), 3/20

Tulsa (17-15) at Wright State (21-12), 3/20

Richmond (18-14) at Bryant (19-11), 3/20

Western Illinois (22-8) at Purdue (15-17), 3/20

North Dakota State (24-9) at Western Michigan (20-12), 3/20

Mercer parlayed its CIT crown a year ago into an Atlantic Sun regular-season title and NIT bid, meaning the 32-team event will have a new champion. The matchups for the 2013 event were first reported by the Big Apple Buckets blog:

North Dakota (16-16) at Northern Iowa (18-14), 3/19

Elon (21-11) at Canisius (18-13) 7:00 pm, 3/20
