By Jeff Goodman | College Basketball Insider

Jackson State has hired Callaway High's Wayne Brent to replace Tevester Anderson.

Brent, 45, spent six seasons on Rod Barnes' staff at Ole Miss before returning to the high school ranks. He has won four state titles at Callaway and also won one at Provine High. He also coached Renardo Sidney early in his high school career.

Anderson was 149-170 in 10 seasons. The Tigers were 11-18 this year overall and finished in fourth place in the SWAC with a 9-9 mark.
