By Jeff Goodman | College Basketball Insider

Texas State has hired Danny Kaspar and will make an official announcement at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Kaspar has been the head coach at Stephen F. Austin for the past 13 seasons and led the Lumberjacks to a 27-5 campaign and an NIT berth this past season.

The Daily Record in San Marcos, Texas, first reported the news.

Kaspar will replace Doug Davalos, who was fired after seven seasons and a 92-107 mark. Texas State is headed to the Sun Belt.
