Rhode Island's Dan Hurley set to sign extension through 2020

By Jeff Goodman | College Basketball Insider

Dan Hurley has agreed to an extension through 2019-20 on Thursday to remain the coach at Rhode Island, sources told CBSSports.com.

Hurley spent two seasons as the head coach at Wagner before leaving before last season for URI.

Hurley is on the road recruiting and is expected to sign the deal this weekend, when he returns to campus.

Rhode Island was 8-21 last season and 3-13 in the A-10, but the Rams should be better with the addition of transfers Gil Biruta (Rutgers), DeShon Minnis (Texas Tech) and Jarelle Reischel (Rice) and talented freshmen E.C. Matthews and Staten Island native Hassan Martin.
