Connecticut indefinitely suspended German junior big man Enosch Wolf back in mid-February after a domestic-dispute arrest tied to allegations of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. The suspension wound up lasting for the duration of the Huskies' 20-10 season.

On Wednesday, those charges against Wolf were dropped. This is a big step for Wolf, who could make his way back onto the team thanks to this positive progression in his case. From the Connecticut Post:

Wolf completed the court-mandated counseling, but continues to receive counseling on his own.
“I'm really happy that the court part is resolved,” Wolf said. “I will keep staying in the counseling myself because I realize it has a positive effect on me and helps me stay focused.”
Wolf's attorney, Rob Britt, said the counseling has helped Wolf “address alcohol, which was an important part of the equation. What I've seen in him is a decision-making process that involves a lot of thought. There is much less spontaneity in what he is doing. There is much more of a decision-making process and contemplation of what's in front of him.”

Next up will be the university deciding what to do, then UConn coach Kevin Ollie. Ollie has said he'll fall in line with what school brass decides. Review and a verdict on Wolf's possible senior year with the basketball team is expected in the coming weeks.

Wolf averaged 3.4 points and 3.4 rebounds last season. The team was 4-4 after his suspension. UConn's frontcourt next season will be certainly bolstered with or without Wolf. DeAndre Daniels, Phil Nolan and Niels Giffey return, with the additions of freshmen Kentan Facey and Amida Brimah.
