Baylor's Austin and Michigan State's Payne both returning to school

Two schools received good news from All-American candidates before Sunday's deadline to declare for the NBA Draft. Baylor freshman Isaiah Austin confirmed on his verified Twitter account that he'll return for his sophomore season while a source confirmed to CBSSports.com that Michigan State junior Adreian Payne will return for his senior season.

The Payne development was first reported by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Austin is a 7-foot-1 forward who averaged 13.0 points and 8.3 rebounds this season. Some analysts believe he would've been a lottery pick this year. Payne is a 6-foot-10 forward who averaged 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds this season. He would've likely been a second-round pick had he entered the draft.

These developments should have both Michigan State and Baylor in most preseason Top 25 rankings. The Spartans are now returning six of their top seven scorers from a team that won 27 games and advanced to the Sweet 16. The Bears are returning three of their top four scorers from a 23-win team that won the NIT.
