Three Long Beach State players 'likely' gone from program

Three Long Beach State players who all averaged at least 15 minutes per game this season -- namely Tony Freeland, Keala King and Deng Deng -- aren't likely to play for the 49ers next season, a source told CBSSports.com late Thursday.

WestCoastHoopsReport.com reported that LBSU "has dismissed" all three players already. But a source told CBSSports.com that nothing has been finalized, and coach Dan Monson actually plans to meet with each player next week, once grades from this semester have posted, before determining their futures. Still, the source said, Freeland, King and Deng are "likely" gone unless they can "bring something new to the table."

Freeland, a transfer from DePaul, averaged 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds this season while helping LBSU to its third straight Big West title. King, a transfer from Arizona State, averaged 9.8 points and 4.9 rebounds. Deng averaged 5.3 points and 2.3 rebounds.
