Missouri nabs Baylor transfer Deuce Bello

Missouri had success with transfers last season, with Jabari Brown, Alex Oriakhi, Keion Bell and Earnest Ross each averaging in double figures. Now, Frank Haith is going back to the well.

Baylor transfer Deuce Bello is headed to the Tigers, as first reported by Gabe DeArmond of Missouri's Rivals.com site.

“We played them three times while I was at Baylor,” Bello told the site. “I really like the way coach Haith's team play. They get up and down, they play defense well. I just really like the style of play.”

Bello, a 6-foot-4 North Carolina native, averaged 2.4 points last season for the Bears. He's a terrific athlete and a former four-star prospect coming out of high school. Given his length and leaping ability, he could be a decent fit for Missouri's up-tempo operation.

After sitting out the upcoming season, Bello should see plenty of minutes on the wing in 2014-15. Jabari Brown could still be around, but Bello will get a chance to contribute in a major way.
