PHOTO: Old Dominion goes simple with its new court design

By Matt Norlander | College Basketball Writer

Per Old Dominion's Facebook page, this is the new design of the school's basketball court. The Monarchs make their move from the Colonial Athletic Association to Conference USA on July 1.

Seems many schools are opting to overhaul their hardwoods in the name of conference swapping, instead of simply switching out the league logos around the foul line. Fine by me. This is a pretty simple approach, too. The logo inside the state of Virginia is a cool touch, and something I think we'll see more of in the coming years.

Another court change is coming inside Virginia, too. James Madison is doing something pretty cool: opening up its new floor concept to the public and taking submissions from everyone. (A lot of promising designs in that link.)
