Report: Ben McLemore's former AAU coach to meet with NCAA

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

Darius Cobb, the former AAU coach of Ben McLemore, is set to meet with the NCAA Wednesday, according to a report in USA Today.

Representatives from Kansas are also expected to attend the meeting.

Last month, Cobb told the paper he accepted two cash payments of $5,000 from Rodney Blackstock, who reportedly introduced McLemore and Cobb to multiple sports agents. Blackstock is now an agent, too. Cobb also claimed he received three trips to Los Angeles, as well as lodging and meals, from Blackstock.

"Rodney Blackstock has been great," McLemore said in Chicago at the NBA Pre-Draft Combine. "Since Day One, since I met him, we have got that bond and communicating very well. And that is why I chose him to help me with this process."

McLemore has said he had no knowledge of Cobb accepting any cash or gifts from Blackstock, and did not accept anything from Blackstock on his own. USA Today reported Blackstock received complimentary admission to three Kansas games as McLemore's guest.

McLemore, who averaged 15.9 points during his one season at Kansas, is projected as a top-three pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
