Syracuse to take preseason trip to Canada

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

Syracuse is heading to Canada for four exhibition games in late August, the school announced on Thursday.

The Orange will face Bishop University, McGill University, Carleton University and Ottawa University from Aug. 21-24. The first two games will take place on the McGill campus, with the game against Carleton being hosted by home of the NHL's Ottawa Senators, Scotiabank Place.

The matchup against Ottawa University will take place at Montpetit Hall.

Coach Jim Boeheim has had success recruiting in Canada in recent years, with incoming freshman Tyler Ennis a native of Ontario. Ennis will represent Canada at the U19 World Championships later this month.
