Aaric Murray dismissed from West Virginia

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

Aaric Murray has been dismissed from West Virginia, multiple sources told CBSSports.com on Monday morning.

Murray, a 6-foot-10 center from Philadelphia, has now been kicked off two teams in his career. He left La Salle in 2011 after averaging 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds. Kansas and Oklahoma State showed interest in him before Murray decided on West Virginia. During his year of sitting out, Murray was arrested and charged with marijuana possession.

Murray averaged 8.8 points last season for West Virginia. Because he graduated in the spring, Murray could transfer to another school and play immediately.
