Loaded doubleheader to take place in Las Vegas in December

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

A doubleheader involving Oklahoma State, Colorado, Marquette and New Mexico is set to be announced Wednesday at a press conference.

The event will take place Dec. 21 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, according to sources. The matchups are Marquette vs. New Mexico and Oklahoma State vs. Colorado.

What makes this interesting is that all four teams could be in the preseason top 25, with each of them in contention for a conference title. Marquette and New Mexico are the potential league favorites in the Big East and Mountain West, respectively. Oklahoma State is poised to be a preseason top-10 team, and Colorado brings back four players who started at least 18 games.
