So, which eight spots will ESPN's GameDay hit next season in college hoops? We found out Wednesday. I won't delay the details by fluffing the intro.

The schedule:

March 1Stillwater, Okla.10 a.m. & 8 p.m.Kansas at Oklahoma State9 p.m.
March 8Durham, N.C.10 a.m. & 8 p.m.North Carolina at Duke9 p.m. told you in July about that Gonzaga-Memphis game, which is the only one here that's inter-conference aside from the intra-city American/A-10 battle between Temple and La Salle. Speaking of that: The Palestra gets to open up the tour! That's really nice. I might have to make a return trip there; it's hallowed hoops ground, after all. That's the headliner to me, even if the teams involved aren't the best. Like last year, the GameDay will have travel to two sites in one day. It closed its slate with double duty in 2013, while it will inaugurate the proceedings this year with two games.

In general, this a strong, good-looking schedule, as you'd expect -- right now. The college basketball schedule can change things. For instance, it's good ESPN is giving itself wiggle room regarding the dubious Pac-12. All four of those teams should be good, but who knows what will happen. But of the 20 teams listed above, it's hard to believe at least 75 percent of them won't make the NCAA tournament.

ESPN notes the Feb. 1 Duke-Syracuse game is in conjunction with the Super Bowl weekend gala of basketball taking place in New York. That Saturday should be a great one for college basketball.

Kentucky and Duke are getting their fifth hosting duties, the most of all programs.

Believe it or not, this is the 10th season already that ESPN's done its GameDay version of hoops.
