VIDEO: Kentucky pros/alums play in annual charity game

By Matt Norlander | College Basketball Writer

Nearly 20,000 people made their way to Rupp Arena in the middle of September to watch a fake basketball game in Kentucky on Monday night.

This isn't surprising.

Video above of the now-annual UK Alumni Game features familiar faces such as Anthony Davis, John Wall, Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and others who donned UK colors in the past half-decade. The game is played for two reasons: 1) It's Kentucky, so obviously, and 2) in the name of raising money for charity. Reportedly more than $1 million dollars was raised between this game and John Calipari's Fantasy Camp festivities from last week.

Ah, yes, there's a third reason to do this as well: easy, easy recruiting tactic. UK held the game while hosting a few big-time recruits, like seniors Jahlil Okfaor, Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker, and juniors Charles Matthews and Derrick Jones.

The Blue team, led by John Wall's 40-10-10 won 111-95 over the White. Brandon Knight scored 30. DeMarcus Cousins coached the winning squad.

Anthony Davis did this, too.
