Arizona assistant temporarily leaving program for health reasons

By Matt Norlander | Staff Writer

Arizona says Emanuel Richardson's health issue is not "life or death," but nonetheless the Wildcats assistant coach is taking some time away from the program because of it. The school announced the news Friday.

Richardson has been with Arizona since 2009, when head coach Sean Miller was hired away from Xavier. Richardson, who is considered one of the stronger recruiters in the game, spent a couple of seasons at X with Miller as well.

Arizona begins its season Friday, Nov. 8, at home against Cal Poly.
