Chane Behanan says he's 'positive' he'll play again for Louisville

Only days after news broke that he was facing a serious indefinite suspension, Louisville junior forward Chane Behanan said he's "positive" he'll play again for Louisville.

WDRB's Rick Bozich and Eric Crawford posted a story Monday night that updated the suspension from Behanan's side. It was by pure coincidence that the two were able to get something from the player who could mean the difference between a repeat championship or failing to make a Final Four.

Behanan wandered into a Starbucks in the Highlands where Bozich and Crawford were working on Monday afternoon, wearing a pair of jeans and a Cincinnati Reds T-shirt. He said he watched Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage on television, and that he plans to begin reading Pitino's new book, "The One-Day Contract" on Tuesday.
Bozich said, "I just saw you at media day a few days earlier and things looked good."
Behanan replied, "Things happen."

That's nice and vague.

Ironically, Behanan's thoughts on the matter come despite the suspension and a lack of a muzzle with the media, so to speak. It's not as if Louisville's courting Behanan for interviews, but he clearly didn't feel as though he couldn't say a few things when running into the press by chance. Last season Pitino prohibited Behanan from any media interviews for roughly the first half of the season.

Louisville was our No. 2 team in the preseason Top 25 (and one) poll, which was released before the Behanan news. Behanan came in at No. 39 on our list of the top 100 players in the sport.
