Once, and forever: When coaches can make fun of themselves, we all win. That's third-year Kent State coach Rob Senderoff showing a little too much of himself at the team's Hoops and Halloween Midnight Madness event from Friday. He looks ridiculous. I'm cracking up.
Here's another shot.
Hope you all enjoyed Hoops 'n' Halloween!!! We had a great turnout and Jackie Moon joined us as guest coach. pic.twitter.com/8znycTI3dS— KentStMBB (@KentStMBB) October 27, 2013
Senderoff's choice of Jackie Moon, the Will Ferrrell character from Semi-Pro, was done a year ago by Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon. Kansas coach Bill Self aped the Ferrell technique this year as well, recreating Anchorman with the rest of his coaching staff.
This weekend brought the end to Midnight Madness activities for college hoops; the season is now less than two weeks away, and clubs will spend the upcoming weekend playing scrimmages. Sounds good. For as fun as these for-the-fans October events are, nothing offers up entertainment like actual games. We're almost there, everybody.
