Four teams will wear turquoise uniforms this month to honor Native American Heritage Month and to spread the popularity of basketball and other physical activities. The uniforms are as a result of a partnership with Nike N7.

Florida State, Oregon State and New Mexico will each wear the jerseys for one game, while Nevada will wear it for two. Each of the four schools has ties to the Native American community.

“The annual Nike N7 game has had a significant impact on the Oregon State community,” Oregon State head coach Craig Robinson said in a release. “When we first talked about this idea four years ago, we had a unique opportunity with a very special player, Joe Burton, who represented his tribe as the first member to earn a full athletic scholarship with a major university. I'm excited to see other schools embracing the idea because there are so many athletes who will benefit from the awareness we're creating to provide opportunities for Native American and Aboriginal kids to play sports and be active.”

In terms of the jerseys themselves, I think they're awesome. Love the colors. And it will certainly draw attention.
