Travis Ford gives statement on suspension of guard Stevie Clark

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

It's been a complicated couple of days for Oklahoma State and freshman guard Stevie Clark.

Clark didn't play in the Cowboys' blowout win at South Florida on Monday night, and head coach Travis Ford confirmed to The Oklahoman that Clark was suspended from the team.

Ford also gave a statement Tuesday night, according to Kelly Hines of the Tulsa World.

According to The Oklahoman, though, there was some speculation that Clark had been kicked off the team – but Clark's mother denied the rumors to the paper.

Clark, a 5-foot-11 freshman from Oklahoma City, averaged 9.8 points and 5.0 assists through his first four games.
