Seton Hall G Sterling Gibbs injures knee: 'It doesn't look good'

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

On a day when Seton Hall lost to St. Peter's, things could get worse for Kevin Willard's squad.

Leading scorer Sterling Gibbs injured his knee toward the end of regulation, and it doesn't seem like the Pirates are optimistic.

“We'll know more after he gets his MRI tomorrow, but it doesn't look good,” Willard told reporters after the game, according to @DalyDoseOfHoops.

Gibbs, a 6-foot-2 point guard from New Jersey, is averaging 16.0 points and 4.1 assists for Seton Hall this season. He transferred to the Pirates after spending his freshman campaign at Texas.

Seton Hall is now 7-4 on the season, with losses to St. Peter's, Fairleigh Dickinson, Mercer and Oklahoma.
