Chane Behanan being dismissed from Louisville stole the headlines in college basketball on Monday, but there was more news coming from the Cardinals.

Kevin Ware could redshirt the rest of the season, head coach Rick Pitino said on Monday.

"I think Kevin may be shut down for the year, but I wouldn't say that 100 percent," he said.

Ware has played in nine games this season, but has only seen double-figure minutes on two occasions. He has totaled 15 points and five rebounds.

Pitino said there aren't many adjustments to be made if Ware is out.

"Ware is not a factor on our basketball team," he said. "We've been playing without him."

As we all know, Ware suffered a gruesome fractured leg in last season's Elite Eight win over Duke. He made his initial return against Pikeville in an exhibition game, just 220 days after the injury.
