Syracuse is creeping in on No. 1 Arizona, but barely. The Wildcats are No. 1 in the Associated Press' top 25 poll for the fourth week in a row, but got 60 first-place votes this time, as opposed to the 63 from a week ago. Syracuse took up the other five.

Syracuse is riding high and heading into 2014 without a loss in wake of its home victory over previously unbeaten Villanova on Saturday. The rest of the top five? Hello, B1G. The Big Ten occupies 60 percent of the quintet; Ohio State, Wisconsin and Michigan State are 3, 4 and 5 in the AP poll.

Louisville took a tumble to No. 14 in the AP poll after falling at Kentucky -- yet remain ranked ahead of the Wildcats. The votes for these polls came in well before news of Chane Behanan's dismissal from the Cardinals was known.

And yet again, the top 25 in the AP remained the same in terms of the totality of the poll. No new teams into the fold this week in either poll.
