Report: Temple's Daniel Dingle could miss season with torn meniscus

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

As Temple gets set to begin its AAC season, the Owls are likely to be down a key player.

Sophomore forward Daniel Dingle tore his meniscus in practice on Sunday and his status for the rest of the season is up in the air, according to City of Basketball Love.

The report states that Dingle underwent an evaluation on Monday, which confirmed the meniscus tear in his right knee.

Dingle, a 6-foot-7 New York native, has stepped up his play lately, averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 assists in his last two games. Without Dingle available, head coach Fran Dunphy will have just eight scholarship players at his disposal.

Temple went 5-5 in non-conference play. The Owls travel to Rutgers on Wednesday.
