Report: Providence transfer Brandon Austin going to Oregon

Oregon suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday night, but the Ducks got some good news on Tuesday.

Providence transfer Brandon Austin is heading to Oregon, according to

Austin, a 6-foot-7 small forward from Philadelphia, had been suspended all season by the Friars. He was a top-50 recruit in the class of 2013, and was expected to make an immediate impact for Ed Cooley and Providence.

For Dana Altman, this marks yet another talented transfer he has landed in Eugene. This season, the Ducks are led by Houston transfer Joseph Young, while also getting contributions from UNLV transfer Mike Moser and Detroit transfer Jason Calliste.
