The threads Christian Laettner was wearing when he hit one of the most unforgettable shots in college basketball history have sold for $119,500 at a recent Lelands.com auction.

The No. 32 jersey from March 28, 1992 -- Duke's 104-103 overtime win against Kentucky in the Elite Eight -- went up for auction just before Christmas with an opening asking price of a hundred grand. It wound up fetching nearly an extra 20 percent off the initial listing.

I reached out to Lelands to see if the identity of the person who won the jersey could be named, but a spokesman said the person wished to remain anonymous.

The highest-selling item involved in this most recent bundle of memorabilia at Lelands.com was one of the always-treasured Honus Wagner cards. This particular card sold for $657,250. Jackie Robinson's 1947 Rooke of the Year award was the second-highest grossing item, selling for $401,968. The Laettner jersey came in third.
