Cal's Bird likely to return against Washington

By Jon Rothstein | CBS Sports

Cal freshman shooting guard Jabari Bird returned to practice Monday and likely will play on Wednesday against Washington, a school spokesman told CBSSports.com.

Bird has missed the Bears' last four games after spraining his ankle against Creighton on 12/22.

The 6-6 shooting guard is averaging 11.3 points per game this season and shooting an impressive 40 percent from 3-point range.

Cal is currently 12-4 overall and 3-0 in Pac-12 play.
