Colorado loses another player, Tre'Shaun Fletcher, for 6-8 weeks

One day removed from the worst roster news possible, Colorado coach Tad Boyle shared another injury bulletin for the Buffs. On ESPN Tuesday afternoon, Boyle said Tre'Shaun Fletcher is out 6-8 weeks due to a knee issue that required recent surgery but was not due to an ACL tear.

The exact nature of the injury was not clarified by Boyle on Tuesday's telecast.

Fletcher, a freshman wing, is averaging 3.5 points in 10 minutes per game this season for the 14-3 Buffaloes, who play at home against UCLA on Thursday and then are home to USC Saturday.

While Fletcher isn't a big player of impact, this is a compound issue for Boyle's ball club. Without him and starting point guard Spencer Dinwiddie, Colorado is now down to a seven-player rotation, based off what Boyle was using prior to these two injuries. This team was in the mix to compete with Arizona for the Pac-12 title as recently as last weekend, but now it's more about treading water and making the most of a season without its best player in Dinwiddie.
