WATCH: Wichita State's Tekele Cotton dunks on Illinois State

I spent Wednesday morning writing about Wichita State.

I spent Wednesday evening watching Wichita State.

And I just saw Tekele Cotton do this ...

That, my friends, how you put an Illinois State Redbird on a poster. The dunk accounted for two of Cotton's 12 points in a 70-55 victory. Cleanthony Early finished with a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Fred VanVleet -- the sophomore point guard whose loyalty to coach Gregg Marshall throughout the recruiting process is a big reason why the Shockers are coming off a Final Four and possibly headed to another, as I detailed in the earlier column -- got eight points, six assists and four rebounds while committing just one turnover.

Wichita State is now 20-0 overall, 7-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Shockers' next game is Saturday night at Drake.
