Mississippi State coach apologizes for cursing at Marshall Henderson

Mississippi State coach Rick Ray apologized Sunday after television cameras caught him saying what appeared to be "[expletive] you" to Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson in the closing seconds of Saturday's game against the Rebels.

Ole Miss won the game 82-63.

Henderson finished with a team-high 19 points.

"I responded inappropriately to an Ole Miss player yesterday in our game," Ray posted on his Instagram account. "I reached out to [Ole Miss] coach [Andy] Kennedy immediately to apologize and subsequently to the player, too. There is no reason for a coach to ever have interaction with an opposing player, ever, regardless of the circumstances. I was more upset with our performance than the player. I was totally at fault."

This, of course, is not the first time Henderson has been cursed at while on the court.

Who could forget his interaction with Auburn fans last season?

That happened one year ago today.
