Bracketology: Ohio State, Baylor continue free fall

It wasn't long ago that Ohio State was in the top five. Now, the Buckeyes have five losses in their last six games and have dropped all the way to an 11-seed in the bracket and are very clearly on the bubble. Ohio State has eight RPI top 100 wins, but none against an at-large quality team. Two of those five losses came at Nebraska and, most recently, at home to Penn State. Ugh. And the hits could keep on coming. The Buckeyes will spend this week at Wisconsin (speaking of sliding) and Iowa.

Baylor also isn't that far removed from a top 10 ranking either, but the Bears have lost five straight and six of seven and now find themselves projected in a play-in game in Dayton. That's not the worst news. In the next eight days, they will play at Oklahoma State, at home against surging Kansas, and then at Oklahoma. That's not exactly a tourniquet for their wounds.

We will begin February with three undefeated teams for the first time since 1976. The last team to finish the regular season without a loss was UNLV in 1991. Here is a quick look at the biggest roadblocks remaining for each team.

Arizona: at Cal (Saturday), at Arizona State (Feb. 14), at Oregon (Mar. 8)

Syracuse: Duke home (Saturday) and road (Feb. 22), at Virginia (Mar. 1)

Wichita State: at Indiana State (Wednesday), Missouri State (Mar. 1), Arch Madness (it has that name for a reason).
