Syracuse selling pieces of game-used net from win over Duke

By Matt Norlander | College Basketball Writer

Syracuse 91, Duke 89, in overtime, was probably the best game of the season so far.

And now the host school is looking to net even more from the victory. Syracuse is selling small, three-to-five-inch snippets from the game nets.

The money goes toward Syracuse atheltics, to "fund our programs and support our student-athletes."

It's an interesting -- but no doubt successful; we are dealing with college fans, after all -- way to make a little extra money. That game was a classic, and I'm kind of surprised they aren't selling threads of Jim Boeheim's hair as well.

Speaking of Boeheim, the ACC recently had him on a mic during an SU practice. Not an amazing video, but worth the watch.
