San Francisco point guard Cody Doolin will transfer to UNLV, a source has confirmed. The news was first reported by Rivals.com.
Doolin averaged 13.0 points and 7.0 assists this season before leaving the Dons' program after four games.
The 6-foot-2 point guard did remain a student at the Bay Area school and UNLV will apply for a waiver with the NCAA in hopes that Doolin will be immediately eligible next season.
The crafty floor general has started over 100 games in his college career.
The Runnin' Rebels have assembled a bevy of talent for next season but point guard is a position that was an obvious question.
Dave Rice has used both Kendall and Deville Smith along with Daquan Cook in that spot this season and it's obvious that Doolin is being brought in to potentially be UNLV's starting floor general in 14-15.
The Runnin Rebels will return a core next year that features Roscoe Smith, Khem Birch and a heralded freshmen trio of Rashad Vaughn, Goodluck Okonoboh, and Dwayne Morgan.
