Duke headlines 2014 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic

Next year's Coaches vs. Cancer Classic will have a big name attached to the event: Duke.

An announcement Tuesday confirmed Duke, Stanford, UNLV and Temple will play in next season's event, held on Nov. 21 and 22 and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It's among the most prestigious early season events in college basketball, as the fight against cancer has become a backdrop for the entire sport over the past decade.

All four games will be broadcast on truTV. Tickets go on sale next Monday.

The Friday matchups will be announced at a later date. Duke, which boasts the No. 1 recruiting class heading into next season, will likely be a top five team in the rankings heading into 2014-15.
