Report: Central Arkansas names Russ Pennell head coach

Central Arkansas has used Clarence Finley as an interim head coach since Corliss Williamson left in August to join the Sacramento Kings, but the Bears have now named a permanent replacement.

Russ Pennell will be the new head coach of Central Arkansas, ESPN.com reported.

Pennell was the head coach at Grand Canyon for three seasons before being fired last season, although he was also previously on staff at Arizona. He was also the interim head coach for the Wildcats during the 2008-09 season when Lute Olson was dealing with health issues.
