Bowling Green has fired head coach Louis Orr, the school announced Tuesday afternoon.

Orr's contract was up after seven seasons, and the Falcons decided not to renew it.

"We want to thank Coach Orr for his dedication to BGSU and his leadership in developing men of character in the Falcon basketball program," athletic director D. Christopher Kingston said in a statement. "I want to personally thank Coach Orr for his professionalism and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

Orr finished above .500 once during his seven years at Bowling Green. The Falcons went 12-20 this season, falling to Northern Illinois in the opening round of the Mid-American Conference tournament on Monday. Overall, Orr was just 101-121 with the Falcons, reaching the NIT once and the CIT once.

Prior to Bowling Green, Orr had been the head coach at both Siena and Seton Hall.
