Duke forward Jabari Parker has been named the Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year.
Parker will be presented with the award on April 14 in Oklahoma City.
Kansas' Joel Embiid, Syracuse's Tyler Ennis, Kentucky's Julius Randle and Kansas' Andrew Wiggins round out the Freshman All-America team.
Parker, a 6-foot-8 Chicago native, came into the season with high expectations as an immediate impact scorer, and he didn't disappoint. He hit the 20-point plateau on 20 separate occasions, also hitting double-figures in all but two of his 34 games this season. He finished the regular season with six straight double-doubles, including a 30-point, 11-rebound performance against North Carolina in the regular season finale. Parker then proceeded to average 20.3 points in three ACC tournament games.
On the season, Parker averaged 19.3 points and 8.8 rebounds, while shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from 3-point range.
He helped lead Duke to a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, where the Blue Devils will face Mercer in the Round of 64.
Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart won this award last season, annually selected by the United States Basketball Writers Association.
