Don't expect to see McGary again this year, says Michigan's Beilein

Michigan's John Beilein reiterated Tuesday that he is not operating under the assumption that Mitch McGary will play again this season despite speculation to the contrary.

"We have no plans for Mitch to play," Belein said on a radio show called Michigan Insider. "Plans can change, but we have no plans for Mitch to play."

McGary, a preseason First Team All-American, appeared in eight games this season before opting for surgery to repair an unspecified back injury in December. His rehab has reportedly gone well, but, as Beilein pointed out, that does not mean the 6-foot-10 forward will return this season even if the Wolverines make their second straight national title game.

Michigan will play Tennessee in the Sweet 16 on Friday.
