Tulsa head coach Danny Manning met with Wake Forest athletic director Ron Wellman on Monday, sources told CBSSports.com.

It's still uncertain whether there's an offer, but Manning is a legitimate candidate to take over for Jeff Bzdelik, who parted ways with the Demon Deacons after four seasons.

Manning has been at Tulsa for two seasons, going 38-29 and leading the Golden Hurricane to the NCAA Tournament this season. Prior to joining Tulsa, he was on Bill Self's staff at Kansas for nine seasons, the last five as an assistant coach.
