Tennessee junior Jarnell Stokes announces he's entering NBA Draft

Jarnell Stokes confirmed on Friday what CBSSports.com reported Thursday -- specifically that he's leaving Tennessee after three seasons to enter the 2014 NBA Draft.

"I might be drafted in the second round, but I'm one of the best powers in this draft," Stokes told reporters on Friday, according to Wes Rucker's Twitter feed. "I'll prove that."

Stokes averaged 15.1 points and 10.6 rebounds this season while earning First Team All-SEC honors and leading the Vols to the Sweet 16. The 6-foot-8 forward is expected to be drafted late in the first round or somewhere in the second round. He'll likely be the first Tennessee player selected since Tobias Harris went 19th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Josh Richardson will be UT's leading returning scorer next season.

The junior guard averaged 10.3 points and 2.9 rebounds this season.

Stokes also took a moment on Friday to become the latest Division I athlete to publicly criticize the NCAA's idea of amateurism. "In college, they sell your jersey for $100 in the mall," Stokes said, according to Rucker. "That would pay the cell phone bill we can't afford."
