The Wolverines have lost an important frontcourt player to Florida.

More than two weeks ago Jon Horford officially announced he'd spend his final year in college hoops away from Michigan. The 6-foot-9 forward had been a good piece for the Wolverines in recent years, but as a graduate transfer candidate, he's eligible for an immediate and final year of play at any school that offers up a major that fits his grad-degree needs.

That place is Florida, per a report by ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

The move was anticipated, as Horford's older brother, Al, was part of Billy Donovan's championship teams in 2006 and 2007. Horford coming in will bolster a Gators frontcourt of Chris Walker and incoming frosh Devin Robinson.

And now the Gators will unquestionably be a top-10 preseason team.

Michigan, on the other hand, just lost Mitch McGary to the draft in addition to Glenn Robinson III and Nik Stauskas. After reaching the national title game in 2013 and the Elite Eight in 2014, it will be a rebuilding year in Ann Arbor.
