After constant rumors the past few days, Maryland sophomore Seth Allen has officially come to a decision: he's leaving the Terrapins.

"I had a great two years there," Allen told ESPN.com. "And I'm thankful for the opportunity, but I also feel as though it's time for me to move on."

Allen has not received his release yet, according to the report.

“I've grown close to Seth and his family over the past few years, so I am disappointed he has decided to leave Maryland,” coach Mark Turgeon said in a statement. “I wish Seth the best.”

The 6-foot-1 Virginia native averaged 13.4 points and 3.0 assists last season, but scored at least 18 points in four of his last five games to end the campaign. Allen also went for 32 points and seven 3-pointers in a February win over Florida State. He missed the first 12 games of the season with a broken foot.

Mark Turgeon has now seen four players leave the program since the end of the 2013-14 season, with Allen joining Nick Faust (Oregon State), Roddy Peters (undecided) and Shaq Cleare (Texas).

He does bring in a touted recruiting class that includes a handful of four-star prospects. Romelo Trimble will have to make an immediate impact as the point guard, while Dion Wiley will be counted on for scoring right off the bat. Jared Nickens is a talented wing, while 7-footers Michal Cekovsky and Trayvon Reed are also entering the program.
