The nation's leading returning scorer is officially on the transfer market.

Niagara guard Antoine Mason announced on Wednesday that he was planning to look elsewhere for his final season of eligibility. He graduated earlier this month and will be eligible to play at another school immediately.

Mason averaged 25.6 points last season, ranking second in the country behind Creighton's Doug McDermott.

“I know Antoine enjoyed playing here, and I'm sure this was a difficult decision for him and his family,” coach Chris Casey said in a statement. “Antoine played a big role in our basketball program for the past four years and we are proud that he earned his bachelor's degree from Niagara University. Now it is time for us to move forward with the players who are committed to continuing the tremendous legacy of the Niagara University Purple Eagles."

The 6-foot-3 Queens native finished his Niagara career as the school's third all-time leading scorer. Mason is the son of former New York Knick Anthony Mason and brother of former St. John's star Anthony Mason Jr.

Given that he's available right away, expect a long line for the high-level scorer.
