The coaching carousel had slowed to a near-stop late last week, but two jobs have hit the board in the past few days. First, it was Marist's Jeff Bower moving to the NBA.
Now, ESPN is reporting that Samford is planning to fire coach Bennie Seltzer after just two seasons with the program.
The official announcement is expected next week, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
Seltzer has gone 24-31 in two seasons, but 14 players have left the program via transfer during his tenure. All-SoCon forward Tim Williams and SoCon Freshman of the Year Isaiah Williams were among the defections this season, as five of the team's top six scorers have transferred since the end of the season.
Before going to Samford, Seltzer had been an assistant coach under Tom Crean at Indiana and Marquette, and also spent nine seasons at Oklahoma.
