North Carolina's Nate Britt has never been known as a knockdown shooter, but the rising sophomore was also never known as a terrible shooter. At the high school level, he demonstrated good touch from the mid-range, and became a decent 3-point shooter as a senior.

After a freshman season in which he shot just 36.7 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from behind the arc, the left-handed Britt is experimenting with an interesting change.

He's planning to shoot more with his right hand.

While it seems like a wild and drastic move on paper, Britt's dexterity will help him make the adjustment – if he decides to do it full-time.

Britt's former high school coach, Oak Hill Academy's Steve Smith, told the Fayetteville Observer that he has done both in the past.

Before arriving at North Carolina, Britt played his final prep season at Oak Hill Academy, and he often shot with both hands on attempts from inside 10 feet.

"He practiced shooting 3s with both hands," Oak Hill coach Steve Smith wrote in a text. "His shooting form is much better right-handed."

Britt played a bigger role than initially expected last season, as starting point guard Marcus Paige needed to play off the ball more and become the team's go-to perimeter scorer. With Paige focusing on playmaking and offense, Britt started 16 games at the point guard position, dishing out 2.4 assists and averaging 5.1 points.

Paige is returning to Chapel Hill for his junior season, but Britt will have competition from incoming five-star point guard Joel Berry.
