New Mexico hires prep school coach for Craig Neal's staff

Alan Huss, the coach La Lumiere Prep in Indiana, has formally accepted a job on Craig Neal's staff at New Mexico, and former Auburn signee Sam Logwood will follow him, multiple sources have told CBSSports.com.

Logwood, who played for Huss at La Lumiere Prep, is expected on New Mexico's campus this week. He's a 6-foot-6 wing who initally signed with Auburn while Tony Barbee was still the coach but requested a release from his national letter of intent last month. First-year Auburn coach Bruce Pearl granted the release, at which point sources told CBSSports.com that New Mexico got seriously involved.

Neal led New Mexico to a 27-7 record in his first season last season.

The Lobos finished 15-3 in the Mountain West and made the NCAA Tournament.
