Nebraska adds an icon of March to its staff as a graduate assistant

Nebraska's Tim Miles announced Wednesday that he's added a new graduate assistant, which, under normal circumstances, is hardly news worthy of this or any other space.

But these are not normal circumstances.

Because the gradudate assistant is an NCAA Tournament icon.

Surely you remember this magical moment from March 2010 ...

Yep, former Northern Iowa standout Ali Farokhmanesh is now on Nebraska's staff.

I caught up with Farokhmanesh two seasons ago while he was playing professionally overseas. He told me that when he started his career in Austria that literally every teammate knew him from that famous -- if not questionable -- shot that sealed a win against Kansas in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament. You can read that post here, if you like.
